New AdWords Experience and Getting More Done

Today, Google announced through Inside AdWords that the new AdWords interface will be the exclusive way to manage accounts by the end of the year.

The new interface has been around for quite a few months now and I've tried forcing myself to use it but keep switching back. Its main strapline has been:

Get more done

 

 

I'm usually keen to adopt new technology and really embrace the idea of becoming more efficient; the problem so far is that I've not seen anything that saves me time and allows me to do more.

This video is a really simple example of adding a copy of an advert. It does go grainy in places when viewing the second half of the video but you're really not missing anything!

Perhaps it's me, i.e. I've just not found a way to make this process quicker? In this example, it certainly doesn't seem more efficient, nor intuitive, having to click on the blue bar to close it in order to see the 3 dots referred to.

Still, this could be the price of progress; as long as Google react to the feedback they must have gathered through multiple surveys and other sources, I look forward to getting more done in the future! 🙂
